I remember Bruce being distrustful of some and wanting his kids to be more wary of them. It depended on who wrote him. This "don't trust anyone with powers" mind frame seemed to come up when they were romantically interested in them.
It happened when Kon-El and Cass liked each other. He encouraged Barbara saying that the thing "with the alien" (Kori dating Dick) wouldn't last. I remember he also didn't go to the almost wedding of Dick and Kori. Is Bruce nicer now, at least in this regard?
