Days of Christmas: Lil' Gotham

I'll be honest, this isn't my favorite Lil' Gotham story. I would have liked it better if it focused on the family. That doesn't mean it doesn't have any merit.

The strength of this series is how accessible it is for children and adults. One of the things I love about it is how much it humanized Damian to the point he's an actual ten year old. He acts childish and that's on full display here as he terrorizes Alfred. Damian acts bratty but it's not overdone. The kid actually plays dress up and acts like a normal child!

The story mainly has to do with Batman and Nightwing taking down Mr. Freeze. While this is a silly story in a lot of respects it does remind me of Batman the Animated series. If you're looking for a short comic that anyone can get into that never takes it's self too seriously this is the title you're looking for. It takes place during Christmas and still depicts the baddie as somewhat sympathetic.
